Experience Sölden in autumn

Autumn in Ötztal is the season when you can do whatever your heart desires.

The desolate autumn lies between summer and winter, but not here in Sölden. While everything is quiet and closed in other regions, we are there for you in Sölden.

While the mountain bikers hit the trails in Sölden Downhill, you can dreamily relax in the Aqua Dome, the top-class alpine spa in Längenfeld. Skilled climbers can be found on the Ötztal via ferratas, while brave canoeists can put their skills to the test on the Ötztaler Ache. Where hikers enjoy the Indian summer with a Kaiserschmarrn in an alpine hut, the first skiers are already carving their turns through the first fresh snow.

Not for nothing is the Rettenbach Glacier the home base of many ski nations preparing for the World Cup season from the end of September. On the last weekend in October, the whole winter sports world is watching the Ski World Cup Opening in Sölden. This is the official starting signal for the upcoming winter season.

Shortly after this highlight, Obergugl opens the winter ski area at the beginning of November. Then it happens in quick succession that the lifts in Sölden open one after the other, until mid-December the entire winter ski area in Sölden can finally be conquered.

The Sölden ski area is one of the best known and best ski areas in the Alps. Thanks to its altitude of 1,370m to 3,340m, two glaciers and the latest snow-making technology, skiing fun with the best slope conditions is guaranteed from October to May.
